Premier Internet-based High Definition Television Provider Signs Deals With
KFLA and Luken Communications' Retro Television Network (RTV) and Tuff TV
MIAMI, Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FilmOn.com Inc. ( http://www.FilmOn.com/
), the premier internet-based high definition television service, today
announced it has signed content agreements with Los Angeles based KFLA to
showcase Retro Television Network (RTV) and Tuff TV.
“The deal we’ve struck with KFLA gives our customers an excellent line-up of
live television options in addition to our existing channels –all from their
mobile device or computer,” said Alki David, founder and chairman, FilmOn.
“We’re happy to partner with content owners who see the tremendous
opportunity in building large audiences by not restricting broadcasts to just
TV sets.”
KFLA-LD is a digital low-power television station licensed to Los Angeles,
California. In addition to RTV and TUFF TV, it currently broadcasts video
programming from BIZ Television, America One Network, CornerStore TV and TV
Centro Commercial and the audio programming of Kings Rock LA.
Chattanooga-based Luken Communications owns RTV and is part of a joint venture
for TUFF TV with TUFF TV Media Group LLC. From its launch RTV's main concept
is to provide a round-the-clock schedule of shows that aired between the 1950s
and the late 1980s/early 1990s. The network's current roster of shows includes
longtime classics such as Leave it to Beaver, Kojak, McHale's Navy, Adam-12,
Emergency!, and The Rockford Files; rarely seen shows such as Ellery Queen;
and horror film showcases like Off Beat Cinema. RTV also occasionally airs
classic commercials to help fill in the ad breaks of older programs. TUFF TV
is the first digital broadcast network to offer first run original programming
targeted at men. The channel features news and syndicated Sports, Lifestyle,
Drama, Reality, Talk, Special programming and Movies.
